For example, when I press 'p' on my keyboard, '0p' pops up in the search bar. And when I press 'backspace' ' \' pops up. Also when I type 'h', 'hy6' pops up. I have windows 10 hp laptop, I have tried troubleshooting for the keyboard but nothing showed up. I have also restarted my computer.

- Download the latest version of HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- In Windows, search for and right-click HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, and then select Run as administrator.

- Click Component Tests, click Input Devices, and then select the Keyboard Test.

- Click Run once to begin the test.
The test ends when you complete the tasks or after 3 minutes.
Sometimes this can also be a key combination that has been pressed to allow this to happen

I'm inclined to agree with James in post #5. It definitely sounds like a classic keyboard failure mode.
