Keyboard & Mouse don't work while...

My keyboard and mouse are USB HID type devices. When I try to boot to safemode, etc, the software for the kb & mouse don't load, so I'm dead in the water with being able to communcate with the system.

Is there a way to "activate" these devices during dignostic modes?

No

safe mode has no usb support

Hi There!

Welcome to TSG!

If they both are USB, then you need to go into the system BIOS and ENABLE "Legasy USB" then save and exit!

Once this is done, Safe mode should let you use the keyboard and mouse!

Depending on the system it's normally [Del], [F1], [F2], or [F10].

When you first turn on the system, it will say to press something to enter setup!
