Hello Jesster. I have just seen your HijackThis log. I will be happy to check it out for you but it needs to be in it's own thread first.
Edited by Byteman: Hi Jesster, I have started a New Thread here for help with your log. TSG
procedures are that you shouldn't post into a thread that is active, and especially one working with Hijackthis logs>> it just gets confusing for you and those helping you. Please continue here, I am sure Kdd9 will find your thread, and I have left a message where you posted previously. Good luck!

Hi Jesster. Welcome. I am reviewing your HijackThis log now and will be back with a reply as soon as possible.

Please note that I am currently an undergraduate at a malware removal school which means that all of my responses are checked by an expert (teacher) before they reach the persons that I am helping. So there may be a slight lag in response time, but this assures that you receive quality assistance and that I get properly trained. Your patience is appreciated.:)

Here are a few tips to help make things go smoothly:

  • * Feel free to stop and ask about anything that you are unsure of before proceeding.
    * It is often worth reading through the instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
    * Please reply only to this thread rather than start a new one.
    * Leave System Restore enabled during the handling.
    * If possible, continue to follow the topic until the system is pronounced clean; absence of symptoms does not necessarily mean absence of all malware.

Hi. Jesster. Sorry for not responding. I just got back from a Christmas visit and will work on the log some more tonight.

There are too many unnecessary programs that are loading during startup and running in the background.

I don't see an antivirus program installed and actively running in the background.

HijackThis is in the wrong location. Open the C:\Program Files folder, create a new HijackThis folder, then move the HijackThis.exe file into it. The next time you post a log, it should show the file path as being C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

Everything inside the following Temp folders should be deleted:

C:\Documents And Settings\(Username)\Local Settings\Temp

If they haven't been emptied in a long time, there may be hundreds of files in them.

(Note: DON'T delete the Temp folders; just their contents)

Adobe Reader and Sun Java SE Runtime Environment are out of date. Versions 8.0.0. and are available. Make sure to uninstall/remove the older versions first before installing the new versions.
