You do not need java in Firefox.

In fact, I see support was dropped with v 52 on March 7, 2017. There has been no support for over a year.

Suppose you post what you need Java for and someone can find an alternative.
I would like to play games on this website :

http://www.funorb.com/

Thanks,

Russell
Ok, I went there and selected a single player puzzle game. The page said I needed a plugin.
From looking in noscript, it wanted to allow java.com. (I don't want to install java on my computer so I went no further.)

At this point, I'm not sure if I would even be able to install java on the latest version (v. 59.0.1 released today for a security update).

I'll check and see if any other browsers support java.
What do i do now if i can not install java for firefox plodr ?
What Windows version is your computer running?

Unless your computer is running Windows XP or Windows Vista, you can use the Internet Explorer 11 browser - which allows Java to be installed and used in it.

What he said. You'll have to use IE to go to that one site.

When I have a site act up from time to time, I open it in a different browser.
Apps that use the Java plugin no longer work on Firefox or Chrome. You have to use IE.
Java programs that use WebStart will work, but not sure how many sites use that method.
