Israel enlists pigs against terrorists
Use of unclean animals as sniffers blessed by rabbis

The Jewish Legion, named after the World War I, all-Jewish regiments of the British army, supports the Israeli military, police and isolated communities by providing special K-9 patrols and mounted riders.

Not surprisingly, the outfit is sometimes referred to as the K-9 cavalry, reports the premium, online intelligence newsletter published by WND.

Recently the Jewish Legion decided to add pigs to its security program.

Yakutiel Ben-Yaacov, the leader of the Jewish Legion, learned about the British army's use of pigs during the 1936-1939 Arab revolt in Palestine. The British deployed pigs, known to have a highly developed sense of smell, enabling discovery of explosives and deterring Muslim zealots from infiltrations.

Though the pig is considered a defiled animal strictly forbidden in Jewish dietary laws, the Muslims forbid any contact with the animal. Any contact with the pig is punishable by denial of entry to paradise.

Ben-Yaacov's plan received the warm support of many of the most important rabbis in Israel and abroad. According to a Jewish law, saving a life supercedes the prohibition to eat or have any contact with pigs.

This is not the first time Israel has made the decision to use pigs in its struggle with terrorism.

According to recent reports, the Israeli government may soon place bags of lard on buses – a favorite target of suicide bombers. Many Muslims thus believe that a corpse smeared in pig remains disqualifies its owner from ascension to paradise, a goal of many Palestinian "martyrs."

More than a century ago, Americans discouraged Muslim terrorists in the Philippines by executing them with bullets rubbed in lard. And in the 1939 film, "The Real Glory," which portrays combat against terrorists in the Philippines during the same period, Gary Cooper proclaims that slain Muslims will be buried in pig skins. More recently, the Russians have reportedly applied the Cooper method to the bodies of Chechen terrorists.

The sepoy mutiny in India came from the introduction of the enfield rifle where the cartridge end had to be bitten off.
It was greased it is said with a mixture of tallow and lard.
Sepoys or indian troops refused to use it because of the defilement

I believe Pershing, when dealing with Muslim insurrectionists in the Phillipines, buried the Muslims with the carcasses of pigs, thus not enabling them to enter into Muslim heaven. Very effective. :)

Should we now replace the warhead on Tomahawk missle with pig? Sadr is reported to be holed up in a mosque. Simply sealing the entrances with pig-splat would effectively entomb him.
Souldn't we also exploint our vast experience in throwing the pigskin? Could be very effective for crowd control.

Replace the K9 corps with the porcine corps. Man and pig patrolling the streets of Baghdad.

Teach pigs to eat explosives or have them strapped with explosives.

The waste from pig farms is a big problem. Use berms of pig waste to protect our troops.

I wonder if Al Firdaus could give us some insight on this.

Would he board a plane if there was a live pig on board?
We could save a fortune on air marshalls and just put a pig on every plane. :D

Oldie, the "truffles" we get here in the states are not REAL truffles. They are some kind of chocolate covered fudgie nugat.

I have been wondering ..... What is a REAL truffle. The kind that are dug up by pigs. It is a fungus? Some underground mushroom? Does it require a cowpie to develop?

Pyritechips. Funny. Fascist pigs. :D:D:D Perhaps better named Zionist Pigs. :D

Truffles have been found in Europe, Asia, North Africa, and North America, but only three species are commercially important. They live in close mycorrhizal association with the roots of specific trees. Their fruiting bodies grow underground.

The term "truffle" as commonly used refers to members of the genera Tuber and Terfezia. There are many other kinds of subterranean fungi, "false truffles," which outwardly resemble the ones we eat. They are far more common than the ones that are collected for food, and some are poisonous.

Truffles are round, warty, and irregular in shape and vary from the size of a walnut to that of a man's fist. The season for most truffles falls between September and May.

The mention of truffles conjures up images of the expensive French black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) from the Périgord region of southwest France, used in making pâté de foie gras, or the renowned odorous white truffle (Tuber magnatum) of Alba, in the Piedmont district of Italy.

Since the times of the Greeks and Romans these fungi have been used in Europe as delicacies, as aphrodisiacs, and as medicines. They are among the most expensive of the world's natural foods, often commanding as much as $250 to $450 per pound.
