is upgrading processor safe?

I am going to buy a new laptop (lenovo v130) and a acquaintance mine says he can upgrade the its processor from i 3 to i 5 really cheap, i just want to know , is it safe and worth?

Not usually,most laptops CPU's are soldered in and not removable. There are very few that can. Contact Lenovo

From what I can determine, the Lenovo V130 15.6" laptop comes with a 7th generation Intel Core i5-7200U processor.

Where are you buying yours from?
