When Vista beta2 was released I partitioned my WD raptor HD and installed the 64 bit version from dvd in a dual boot setup with my original Xp pro. Everything worked fine but didn't use the Vista much for lack of drivers. About a month ago CKDSK started to auto start at boot and results always showed partition 2(vista) to be unwritable. It didn't seem to affect anything as I could tell and I wrote it off as the beta timing out as the free year usage was about to end.
I used VistaBootPro to change boot manager back to XP being the default OS, and then attempted to format the Vista partition. The format always ends as unsuccessful . Disk manager now shows partition 2 as healthy, 100% free and having Raw data. A program called EASEUS gives me an error message that reads " The starting LBA value 41480192(2582c 5h 48s) of partiton 2 is not valid. "
Any ideas on how I can reclaim the space in this partition ?
