Hello, I downloaded Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. If
I download and install free Sygate firewall, will it cause conflicts?
(I know that running two antivirus programs at the same time is not a good idea. is it the same with firewall?)
If I need to choose between these two, which one is a better choice?
Thanks.

Hi Johnie;
If you purchased your computer after Microsoft released Windows Security Patch 2, it should be running in the background. If your computer is little older, you must update Windows XP from Microsoft's web site.
Click Start/control panel. You will see
Under classic view, Windows Firewall (under Category view as Security Center).
Unless you turn it off, it will always stay on.
My experience tells me that it is not very powerful. I downloaded and installed free Zone Alarm. I like it so far. You could also try free Sygate firewall.
I still use Xp firewall, too.
Good Luck. :up:
