I use a certain webservice for my websaite, and use their forums to ask about problems and see what new goodies I can try on my site. Recently, two people posted claiming that BeSeen hijacked their browser.
Now, I've had BeSeen on my computer once or twice over the years, but it was a tracking cookie. It was nothing major, and I got rid of it. But I've never heard of BeSeen as a browser hijack. I've tried searching Symantec, Pandascan, here (but of course!), Castlecops, Computer Associates, lists on Spyware Blaster, etc. I can find absolutely nothing.
The webservice uses Google ads, by the way. As far as I know, Google ads usually don't do this. And my own site didn't have this problem.
So, is this BeSeen nonsense a new browser hijack that few have seen (and if so, are there any other good, up-to-date lists I can check?), or are these people trying to pull something? They are new posters, by the way.
