Ip address detected if visiting user homepage?

885 Views 11 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Lite Brite
hi,
I visited a specific homepage about a person that was shared @ an internet community forum. I was wondering if this person could tell my ip address from me visiting, looking, or saving pics from there?

thanks.

yes :)

Your browser sends a HTTP GET header to a website, and the website logs the IP of which that request came from.
Google for a Javascript that tells the remote users IP :)
Oh, no prob. You would be able to view IP's of people if they are viewing anything to do with your website, but on geocities, you do not get to view site logs. So the only way, is if they are viewing a page.
