From two days ago, I want to go to "Tools", then "Internet Options" and suddenly I am blocked and can't! The error popup box message is "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." I have to click on "OK" in order to close the box and do something else.

What happened? I want to be able to get to that Internet Options page...

Is this your computer or are you on a works network computer?

There are many restrictions that can be placed on IE through the registry.

There is an option in Spybot to lock the home page. All it does is add that registry entry.
