I am running O/S XP Home Edition. I have recently been having problems (user specific) surfing through the Internet. What happens is at times I will not be able to open certain sites and IE would lock up. These sites are trying to open extra pop-up windows in my browser. Also, before this started to happen I got an IE script error messages that referenced the following sites: www.clickspring.net and achtungachtung.com

Things I have done that worked - I removed IE from my system and reinstalled it. This fixed the problem and allowed me to surf without any problems, but the script errors came back about ten minutes later and the problem continued. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please get Spybot S&D to clear out any spyware.

Install the program and open it.

Before doing any scanning click Online and Search for Updates .
Put a check mark at and install all updates .
Click Check for Problems nd when the scan is finished have Spybot fix all it finds marked in red .

Then after reboot :
Download 'Hijack This! http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the " scan " button will change into a " save log " button.
Press that, save the log , load it in Notepad, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.
