Are there any factors other than the computer that can affect DSL? How can I protect myself from being internet freeloaded from freeloaders? What is the best type of phone line to use?

DL them (they are free), install them, check each for their
definition updates and then run AdAware and Spybot, fixing anything
they say.

In SpywareBlaster - Always enable all protection after updates
SpyBot - After an update run immunize

What kind of phone line should I use? I think I have copper
And I bought ZoneAlarm Pro
How do I block other users from entering my network, does blocking remote access work? Or does the hacker need to get past my firewall to gain my internet access
