Internet crashes off every few minutes while gaming

Hi,while im gaming the internet crashes off.

This has been going for a few weeks now and it's really getting on my nerves.

How do I disable this?

I run a OS X mac version 10.9.2 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 2012.

Router is:

ASUS RT-N66U Dual Band 3x3 Wireless-N900 Gigabit router

Somebody please help?

Could it be that you're having problems with your network adapter? If you go to Power Management Tab, uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and see if it works. You will find the tab on Control Panel.

What kind of internet do you have? It could be a problem with the router or your network card. Have you checked for packet loss?
