My computer seems to take forever to get to different sites and it didn't use to. I may have to many programs running. How do I check this? Thanks.

Its possible you have spyware, if your a novice its best just to download spysweeper or spybot programs and they can automatically check if you have spyware running in the background

u mean u want to "close" the programs?? press alt+ctrl+del. when the task manager comes up, highlight the program u want to close, then press End Task (in Win 98), and End Process (in Win XP).

I have 39 processes running but I don't under stand what most of them are. I don't have any spyware running as I scan for regularly. How do I know what should be running?
