We're trying to install a new SATA controller card. The drivers simply refuse to install

We have tried everything that we can think of, but as soon as we point to them and click on "next" they freeze the computer up.

Is there any way to manually install the drivers by manually placing them into Windows/system ?

What version of Windows and what SATA card are you dealing with? Either way see if you can download newer drivers, they may also include a Setup or installer to help with the installation.

It is a new Maxtor SATA PCI card with brand new drivers.

I finally got them in, but it took 45 minutes for them to load
