Hi,

I have ms office premium installed on win 98 which is not working.When i try to uninstall thro add/remove program,it gives the error message `DATA1.MSI FILE MISSING AND INSTALLATION WILL BE ABORTED' and application rolls back.In addition,when i put ms office 2000 professional in my cd drive for installation,cd drive ejects out the cd. cd drive functions normally for other cds.Kindly tell me as to why cd drive ejects ms office 2000 cd and tell me how to get over this problem and install ms office 2000 professional.

Download, install and run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Use it to remove Office 2000, reboot and then try reinstalling it from the CD's.
