Hi Suburbanbbw,You might want to check how many programs you have running at startup.Go to Start>Run>type in msconfig
click on startup tab.You will see what you have running at startup.Heres a site to go to that will tell you what you need and dont need running at startup.

Hi suburbanbbw,

Welcome to the board!

Have you got the exact text of your error message for us? Click on the 'details' button, and tell us what it says.

If it's an error in module Newdotnet.dll, take a look here: http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57916&highlight=new.net

Good luck,
thank you the New.Net was my problem, i did what you said but was unable to unistall it or find the file even but the the illegal action went away. So i wondering if it is ok to leave it? I still am continuing to get the please wait systems busy when i go to shut down my computer, does that have anything to do with New.Net or is it something else?
Hiya

Okay, the new.net has been removed. Have you downloaded AddAware www.lavasoftusa.com
Install and run it, ensuring that Deep Registry Scan is enabled. Remove all except any references to Web3000.

Also, for the slow shutdown, have a look here:

i cant figure out the problem even with the 15 step program you told me about. Maybe knowing i get a Win95rpcwmsgwindow when trying to shut down my computer will help you help me. Also i installed the lavasoft program , exactly what is that, and it didnt seem to help with anything, i keep getting illegal actions when im on aim and yahoo now also. Im sorry im just totally computer illiterate
Hi,

As for your Win95 rpc wmsg window error,

Installing Microsoft DCOM98 for Windows 98 has been known to remedy this.

Good luck,
Hiya

Have you not got rid of new.net fully? Have a look here

http://www.cexx.org/newnet.htm

for details about it. AddAware removes spyware programs on your PC, which can cause problems with your system. These illeagle errors: can you let us know what they are? When they pop up, click the Details button and copy/paste the info.
