I've had my computer a month now and originally had IE6, I connected to Sky broadband and a couple of weeks later upgraded to IE7.

I had no problems until Wednesday night when no web pages could be displayed. I called the helpline, checked the sockets, they checked the line and there is no problem. They say it could be too much information being sent down my line too fast and it can not handle it. I left it at that and am still waiting for someone to call back. In the meantime I have connected my laptop to the broadband box and have no problems and I am using IE6 so I am assuming the problem is with the PC. The man at Sky initally did think that it could have been the upgraded browser that was causing the problem.

Can anyone advise on how I can go back to the original version of IE or have any other ideas of what I can do to fix this problem without resorting to a full restore of my PC.

I hope I have explained this clear enough as I am not a computer wizard but can get around a home PC no problem. Thanks very much
