I can access visually the internet if I go through My Computer and connect.
When I click on the internet icon, it loads, but only the blue header bar at the top is visible and I can see my desktop. I have contacted my area provider and also Microsoft. Microsoft said that my product registration number has OEM in the number and that I would have to contact Emachines. E Machines gave me four pages of general internet fixes that I have not tried yet. Does anyone have any ideas before I start on procedures that may not help? Thanks ahead of time.
I have since found out that if I connect to the internet by going through My Computer, accessing a web site and clicking on the Home icon, the home page will load completely. I still cannot access it normally by clicking on the IE icon or the internet button on my keyboard.
