this is driving me nuts. http://www.best-search.info/1525/

that has somehow got on my computer, and I can not seem to get it off. the directions that it gives for me to uninstall it dont work, as I have xp pro, and I can not follow this line

In navigation tree go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedTaskScheduler

as I dont have a sharedtaskscheduler in my list... can anyone help me to get this off my computer. I have downloaded spyware, and ad-aware, and I have norton, but none of them see this as a virus, or what ever it is.

Please, if any knows how to get this from hitting my browser, please help me.

Please do this. Click here to download Hijack This. Click on the Hijackthis.exe.

Click the "Scan" button when the scan is finished the scan button will become "Save Log" click that and save the log.

Go to where you saved the log and click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" then Paste the log back here in a reply.

DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required. Someone here will be glad to advise you on what to fix.

*Note: When you download Hijack This Do Not download it to a temp folder or to the desktop. Create a permanent folder somewhere like in My Documents and name it Hijack This and put it in that folder.

I have been going to http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/ to see what to get rid of and what not to. My biggest question would be this, if I were to delete something, and I should not have, would reinstalling IE fix it?
