I am using IE 6.0. Is it possible to adjust the width of the favorites drop down list?

Not as a normal option. Someone may know of a registry tweak.

The only way I know of - and the method I use - is to shorten the names on the list. The Favorites menu will be as wide as the longest entry plus a considerable "margin" space, it does not word wrap.

Right click on the entry, choose "Rename," use a name that's as short as it can be and still let you know what it is, click OK.

I've sorted my favorites into folders and given the folders short (one word when I can) names. I now have the Favorites menu down to about 2 inches wide.

Is there a way to break the Favorites in the Favorites Menu? What I mean is configure it so it's not just one long vertical list. That way you will be able to see all of the Favorites within a specific folder, without scrolling.

Hope this question makes sense.

If I understand what you are describing, the Windows 95 Start Menu was like that. And there is a registry tweak for the Start Menu to duplicate it. I haven't seen one for Favorites though.

I use SlimBrowser along with IE6. SlimBrowser has an option to "Break Favorites menu at 30 (or whatever you choose ) items." I am able to see any folder's Favorites all at once. Instead of scrolling a particular folder, it breaks them into panes, which are side-by-side. I was wondering if there's a way to do that in IE. Perhaps not.
