Hi,

We suggest that you post a Hijackthis log- it's a diagnostic tool that will help show us anything that could be a problem.

Let's have you post a log from Hijackthis and maybe we can spot anything out of place:
go to Click here to download HJTsetup.exe
  • On that page, select one of the servers in the list under the Free Downloads heading
  • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Additional Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then save the log and then the log will open in Notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Paste the log in your next reply.
  • Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
  • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

_ _ _ _
Please also do this:
  • Open Hijack This and click on the "Open the Misc Tools section" button.
  • Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button.
  • Click the "Save List" button. After you click the "Save List" button, you will be asked where to save the file. Pick a place to save it then the list should open in notepad.
  • Copy and paste that list here in your reply

If you would post a Hijackthis log, I will check it.

If the process running is indeed iexplorer.exe then it is badware....and, only qualified helpers may assist you.

I should be able to tell exactly what the problem is from an Hijackthis log.

I don't see iexplorer.exe anywhere, i only see iexplore.exe, which is harmless. Unless you can produce evidence that you have iexplorer.exe on your machine, i'd say you're clean. Although i'd like a malware person to have a look at it.

Hi newspaper56

We will get an advanced tool to see about iexplorer.exe, after we remove another infection:

You have the LOP adware trojan- usually, this is a result of it being bundled along with programs, such as MessengerPlus!, we need you to post the list I asked for before:

Please also do this:
Open Hijack This and click on the "Open the Misc Tools section" button.
Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button.
Click the "Save List" button. After you click the "Save List" button, you will be asked where to save the file. Pick a place to save it then the list should open in notepad.
Copy and paste that list here in your reply
Next: Do this and post the log from it along with a new HJT log made after you run NoLop:

Please UNinstall any of the following program(s) via Add/Remove Programs if they are present:
Click on Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.
Uninstall/remove any of the following programs if listed:

Messenger Plus! Live & Sponsor (CiD) <<**You can re-download/reinstall this and pick the option to Not install the "sponsor bundled software"

Netpumper <<just UNinstall any of these below
Get-Torrent
Bitroll
Bitgrabber
Bitdownload
Torrent101
CiD Help / CiD Manager
Download Plugin for Internet Explorer
Search Plugin
W3player
WinZix
Zone Media

Please Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below...
http://www.spywareedge.net/nolop/NoLop.exe <direct download
http://www.spywaretimes.com/Tools/Anti-malware-Tools/orderby,2/page,2/ <Bottom of page
http://thespykiller.co.uk/index.php?action=tpmod;dl (Scroll down, on the right find the list of spyware tools)
First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
Double click NoLop.exe to run it

Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"
<<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
Now click the "REBOOT" Button.

A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with new hijackthis log
--If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program.--

Hi, To fully remove the LOP infection I need to see the results from running NoLop

CID is the little gift that installs LOP infection. UNinstall CID from Add/Remove Programs as my directions told you.

Then, you will still need to download and use NoLop and post the log from it so I can help you remove all the leftovers folders and files from LOP infection.
