I have a client running XP & Norton 2006 on two different machines. They have DSL through AT&T/Yahoo.

They've tried loading IE 7 and it seems to load fine, but when you tried to open IE, it locks up. This occurs on both machines. We've unistalled IE 7.

Is the problem with IE7 & Norton or IE7 & their DSL?

Norton is about to expire on one machine, it's already expired on the other. Given that they will eventually be forced to change from IE 6 to something else, does anyone have suggestions? I don't think Firefox is an option, as they are change averse.

Should we switch them from Norton to something else which might play better with IE?

Did you disable Norton while you were updating IE? It can get in the way of the upgrade . .

FWIW . . I have quite using Norton altogether . . just too much of a resource hog. I have been using and reccomending AVG for a while now and everyone seems to like it better than Norton or McAflea. It comes in a Free version if you want to gie it a test run.
