Hello. Two days ago, windows updated my computer to the newest update 21H1 and the new features along with it. After that, my desktop now has a windows update icon on my desktop that I can't move or right click on with my mouse to delete. The icon has an arrow on the bottom left side and the window security shield on the right.
A folder showing HP Envy Printer also appeared on my desktop. I don't have an HP Envy Printer installed on my computer. I use an HP Officejet. When I right click the icon with my mouse, the only menu that opens shows view, arrange, resize, etc. There is no option to delete on either one of them.
I tried uninstalling the updates, restarting my computer-still no change. I ran the DISM.exe file checker yesterday and it did find some corrupt file and repaired them, but no luck on correcting my problem.
Even microsoft customer service hasn't helped. On another note: I accidentally created a Recycle Bin shortcut on my desktop = now have 2. I can't delete or move it either. The icons that I do want on my desk top work fine (I can rt click and move, delete or whatever) and I have placed them on the right side of my desktop since I CAN move them. The ones that are stuck are on the left side.
Anyone else have this problem???
Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

Here is my screen. Ones on the left are no good. Can't move or delete. Shortcut of recycle bin on left too.
Icons on the right are okay and respond to rt click of mouse. NOTE: I have removed the PC icon now LOL didn't know it was there.

Hi and welcome to TSG,

Try dragging those icons onto the Recycle Bin icon, that could delete them from the Desktop.

What if you change the background?

Go to Settings > Personalization > Background

Choose any picture from your computer and apply.

Are you getting the same problems?
