I Tunes Freezing When Trying to Burn

My Itunes will not burn CD's anymore and when I go into preferences - burn it freezes and locks up the whole thing and has to shut down. I have uninstalled it and reloaded it but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris
