Hi.

I was just wondering if somebody could help me with a small problem I have.

I'm an amature film maker, and have recently bought a digital video camera with some dvd-rw (thats the only sort of tape the camera will take).

When I went to copy and paste the footage we shot today onto my computer's desktop though it kept saying:

"Error 0x8007045D: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error"

I was wondering if anybody else seems to have had this problem and how they managed to fix it.

My computer is the Vista version if that helps.

Thanks

Hey guys

I'm sorry if this is against the rules, but I am on a time limit with this film project and can not afford to lose the footage we shot as we do not have enough time to re-shoot everything.

I desperatly need help, please!

Thanks

I dont know if it will help but I encountered that I/O error with my cd drive. All I did was clean the lens and it worked. Maybe if you try to save it in another format then maybe your pc would read it. I guess it cannot determine what program to use to open it.
