I was surfing and i believe i have been hijacked, I ran spy sweeper, ad aware and shredder. Those fix most of my problems, but i cant get rid of a search toolbar that shows up once in awhile and a some weird noises coming out of my puter when I hit the shift key.

This forum and website reminds me of
"The Lord of the Rings"
GOOD versus Evil

thanks in advance for any help with my log.

These are unknown and I would recommend removing them if you do not know the program they are associated with. To do this check the entries in the Scanlog, close all browser windows and click "fix":

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {133A667F-83BF-648C-332E-B79CA3DDEC77} - C:\PROGRA~1\AMOKRE~1\CoalSect.dll

O3 - Toolbar: Option web - {69C9E1E5-E8AD-3FD1-A7C5-1904C3744321} - C:\PROGRA~1\AMOKRE~1\CoalSect.dll

>> Bear in mind they are loading from a Program Files folder called AMOKRE* (can't see the rest of the name)

Moreover, this is another "unknown", can you shed some light on it, and do you "trust" it?

Try restarting in Safe Mode. If you have no idea what created the folder, you can send that to the recycle bin.

To start in Safe Mode use one of these two methods: either press the f8 key promptly on restart to get the boot menu or run msconfig and select the Boot.ini tab. Put a check in:

/safeboot

this has to be removed to return to normal mode.

Post another Scanlog when ready.

Be sure to check and 'fix' the registry intry in the Scanlog as well.

The msconfig entry is ok; XP places it there when you have items unchecked in msconfig. When you reboot it just reminds you. I would recommend checking the option to not remind again. You could also check and fix it in HijackThis. Don't try to remove the file though, it IS where msconfig is supposed to be.

You can also check and fix this in the log:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

When you get a system error one of those will show up in startups; it's of no use to anyone except a professional developer.

Glad to hear things are better.
