Since the laptop is fairly new I would RMA it back to the manufacturer. You might ask if you can have the hard drive transferred to the replacement if you have data on it, but it would probably be safer to save what you can on an external drive or flash drive before sending it in. Having to manually start the fan is unacceptable and they should replace the unit.
