I Get "Your Input Can't Be Opened"

Hi,

My Windows 10 has no problems playing most of my DVDs, but when I went to
play my new DVD it said "Your input can't be opened." Any suggestions?

Hi humble44, and welcome to TSG.

A standard Windows 10 installation does not come with software that can play DVDs. Please let us know exactly what program you have installed for playing DVDs.

Are you playing commercially pressed DVDs or homemade burned DVDs?

If it is a commercially pressed DVD does its region code match the region code you have set on your computer's DVD drive?
Hi,

Correction. I said DVD. I meant CD. My VLC Media Player plays both DVD and
CD. This CD is commercially pressed.
It could be that the music publisher incorporated modifications to the disc structure to prevent copying or ripping the disc when it is in a computer CD drive. This would also prevent playing it on a computer. Take a look at the CD case or jacket for any kind of information or logo indicating copy protection has been applied.

If you have autoplay set for CDs try turning that off and see if VLC can open and play it.

Can you test the disc on another computer or an actual CD player?
