have difficulty understanding the space concept of MB.

If i uderstand it correctly, a 430MB file would take up to 61.42% of the disk, not including the lead in and out to reference the file on the cd, most people find that 'burning' a cd using NERO would be better, although i have problems understanding what you can and cannot 'burn'.

A single floppy A disk holds 1.4 MB. That is 1 million (1 MB), 4 thousand bytes (4K)
My first computer only had an 850 MB hard drive. Now hard drives are measured in Gigabytes. 1 GB = 1 million x 1million. I think I've got it right.

If it will help think of kilobytes (KB) as milli-liters and Megabytes(MB) as Liters. So will 430 liters fit into a 700 liter container? Yes.

I guess in the US it would be ounces and gallons?

Doesn't matter its an analogy, X number of megabytes equal X number of gallons. But with that analogy it would be 1 gallon equals 1 megabyte.

I think I had that same book but it was in high school. Thought the idea of switching was dumb then, still do.
