Well I went to install a new Hp c3100 printer on my win 2000 server laptop and it said it the software wasnt compatible. It doesnt say why it isnt compatable. I called hp and they said it should work with 2000 server but it cost $50 to get support for 2000 server. I have all the ram, and HD space required. What am I missing? I dont think its supported because nt4.0 and 2003 serverisnt.

If those other environments aren't supported, I can't imagine how the one in the middle would be supported. Perhaps it's time to consider a compatible printer, instead of giving HP money for support that should be free.

Thats kindof a dead end because While I was installing the software it automatically checked for updates and there were non. I looked around on hp's site and didnt come up with anything.
