I just replaced the fuser delivery roller, printed out one page perfectly ... but afterwards the error light is always switched on indicating an error condition, such as a paper jam, missing toner cartridge, or the printer’s top cover is open. There is no paper jam, the toner cartridge is just fine (I checked that the toner cartridge internal switch is pressed).

I guess that there is a trick with the printer cover that I didn't see in the technical manual

Any clue someone ?

I am having the same problem with my HP Laserjet 3100xi Multifunction printer. I have posted the question on a few free tech support sites. Did you get an answer or figure it out yet? I will let you know if I hear of something. Thanks, J

P.S. - Mine is out of warranty at HP... they will charge $49 just to talk via phone, with no guarantee of a fix. Going to a contracted HP repair shop would cost $79. This multifunction cost $500 years ago; probably worth $150-200 today, you think?
