Basically my computer has a s-video output port in it but when i hook it up to the TV, i do not see the picture. Is there a way to activate it? my PC is running windows media center edition and it is a HP notebook. Any help?

The video output is switched to the Port via the fn/f4 key combination on my HP DV5000 unit, probably the same on yours. Look at the symbols under the 'f' numbers on the keys. Each key has a unique function.

I find that there are two options with the key. LCD is off, TV is on, and BOTH are on. It depends on how many times you cycle the keys.
