I have the following situattion:

I have 2 stream videos that i would love to keep on my hard disk, seeing that it's going to stay on the website for a limited amount of time. They work different.

One it's a Real player file, there is a link where it sayd PLAY THE VIDEO, when you click on that, Real player opens, but then it asks for a passport or something, but Net Transport is supposed to work with Password protected files, right? (at least that's what they say)

The other, there is a link WATCH VIDEO, another window opens, and them you have to choose between Real Player or WMP (I choose WMP, cuz them i can watch it with Divx), after you choose that, the video starts to show on the same windows.

Now, how can i download both with Net Transport?? I couldn't find anything like a step by step kind of instruction for Net Transport.
I know that somehow i have to find the real URL of the files, but i have no idea on how to do that. I heard something about URL Sniffer??? Is there such a thing.

Anyway, i hope someone can help, if it's important, i can post the Websites of what i want to download, ok??

Thank you

I visited that website, but its kinda confused, i didn't understand anything.

The websites are the following

http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/TV/08/06/cnna.queer.eye/index.html

This is the real one, that requires the password (but Net Transport is supposed to work even in this case)

http://www.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/200402/tows_past_20040224.jhtml

These are the wm ones, they are 2, under the picture, WATCH VIDEO PREVIEW and WATCH AFTER THE SHOW.

Hope you can help me, my fingers are crossed.

Thank you

Actually, for the WMP videos, the URL is not a streaming one

http://st11g1.services.icdsatt.net/v1/312/1531/WMP/2004_02/tows_promo_20040224.wmv

but you can of course download it with Net Transport
Try the following to find the URL : go to the page, start the video and right-click on the video. Then, choose "properties". You should see the URL.
If not, you have to search for the text wmv in your IE's cache with "Find files". To limit the search, try to specify the current date, to avoid searching in old files.

For the Realvideo URL, as I don't have the password, I can't reach the page but once the video is started, search in your TIF files for rtsp or .rm or .ram
If it's a .ram URL, then download it, it should be a little file with the real URL, the one you can give to Net Transport.
