Hey people,

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with this pickle i got my self into. I own a v2000 presario laptop and it just gave me the motherboard of death action and died. Now i took the hard drive out of that laptop and put it on a usb adapter on another laptop. Now I have Microsoft Office 2003 on the compaq and 2k7 on the new laptop.

How would I go about retrieving the data like emails, addresses, etc. I read something about .pst files and .ost files but tried importing to 2k7 and error.

If i just need to install 2003 on a comp to get it i will but im looking for an easier route if you know what i mean.
Thanks alot.

Hi o\/3r(lo(k3d

Were you able to locate the .pst files?

Try copying the .pst files to the Desktop on the receiving computer.
Start Outlook and open the .pst file:
File > Open > Outlook Data File
Browse to the location of the .pst file and select it.
The Personal Folders should then appear in Outlook

Just to clarify, the .pst files were made using Outlook 2003 and you attempted to Import them into Outlook 2007?
