How to delay audio?

I have a projector that I watch Netflix on through my laptop. But the video is about 1/2 second behind the audio. Are there any settings I can modify or software I can get (for free) to delay my audio? Please Help!

What is processing the audio? Receivers/AVR's typically have a an audio delay option.
