How do you create a print spooler and set up printers to be used as a print server?

depends on the type of printer you want to share

basically you connect the priner load the drivers and enable sharing on the printer.

if you are connecting a network atteched printer (it has a network card) then you need to load tcpip print services on the nt 4.0 machine and then assign an ip address to the printer, load the driver and share it.

the more info you provide on the type of printer the more detailed the answer can be.

have fun with it

It is connected thru a jet direct to a HP4000, a HP1200se and a Okidata dot matrix printer. It's a brand new NT server setup and I'm having trouble setting up the printers.
assign an ip address to the redirect card.

load ip print services on the server\workstation you want to assign as the print server.

load the print drivers add an lpr port for the printer, use the ipaddress of the jet direct and raw1 for the first port on the jet direct, raw2 for the second port and raw3 for the 3rd port. (basically add 3 lpr ports)

share the printer and you are ready to go.
