Do you actually have a choice? If so, you are most fortunate. Where I am out in the country only the "cable" provider provides broadband, and even then the line doesn't reach me. Tel company "DSL" doesn''t come out this way either.

i live in the suburbs of liverpool, and i have friends close by who have different internet providers, so i know i have a choice. my general wonderment was where i could find what options are available to me and if i could compare them some how. i did find this site, http://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/ which lets me do the stuff i want, just wondering what u guys think?? thanks for the help! :)

"l_m": I had no idea you resided in England when I asked the question. I know from looking at the BBC news site that 'broadband' is considerably more available geographically there than here in the US.
