After months of serious problems with my notebook I finally decided to reformat and reinstall. I've done this on other systems in the past without any major problems. This time, however, I had misplaced my Certificate of Authenticity - or possibly never received it, as it was purchased and used overseas for two months before it came into my possession. I used the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to retrieve the product key before proceeding. After completely reformatting and attempting to install XP Pro (SP2), however, the wizard insisted that my product key was invalid. I have a copy of XP Home that I would like to try installing instead, but there is no option to quit the XP Pro installation and when I try inserting the XP Home disc the setup just asks for the XP Pro SP2 disc, and then restarts back to the middle of the XP Pro installation when I don't supply it. How do I cancel the XP Pro installation so I can install XP Home?

Additionally, the XP Home version in my possession is in Traditional Chinese; should I anticipate any major problems switching the language over to English? I have the CoA for this version attached to the bottom of my notebook, it is the version that was bundled with my computer when it was purchased in Taiwan. At the time, the company decided to install an English version of XP Pro so that I wouldn't be relegated back to puzzling out the Traditional Chinese if anything went wrong. From what I gather, however, I just have to change the language option during installation, the same as I would usually change it from US English to Australian English. Is this correct?
