I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows XP, and IE is driving me crazy. Whether I am on or offline, it starts up windows, most of them have an error message associated with them, and they interrupt whatever I am working on. Someone told me I can't delete the whole program since some of XP depends on the IE code, but if there is any way to get IE to stop popping up I would greatly appreciate the information. Thanks!

Do you have an xp cdrom to try a repair of Ie ?

No, did you update it to service pack 1 yet ?

You can't delete IE. It is extremely closely intgrated into Windows. You can either re-install Windows or repair IE.
