I was wanting to know all of the ways that I can speed up my computer. I have a celeron with 2ghz and 248 mb of RAM, and my operating system is Windows XP Professional. I also need to know how I can find out the type of memory to buy, and the amount of memory that I can install.

Go to Crucial.com for the memory questions.All you will have to do is type in your specs and it will tell you what kind of memory you use. http://www.crucial.com/index.asp

Yeah, adding memory is the cheapest and most effective way to speed up your machine. I'd max out on it, and bargle50's recommendation for Crucial is right on. I've been dealing with them for a long time. The last time I ordered from them, I sent the order online in the afternoon, and it was delivered the following day by US Mail!!
