Home page set in group policy

I am trying to set the home page for a group of pc's on my network. All running win2k pro. And server running win2k server.
On the server i have found the section that allows me to specify the Defaul home page. However I want to set this to an Intranet site. The site is on the server. And there is a drive letter mapped to the directory of the intranet. Ex. p:\intranet\index.htm. Well when i try and enter that line in the home page section under GP. It says to enter a valid URL. So I tried \\servername\director\index.htm. Same thing. So my question is....is there a way around this problem? Or can I use the DNS on the local server to point a www. name to the directory? Please Help!! Thanks in advance!

I would try setting it to:-

file://///severname/Whatever/YourStartPageHere.htm

I don't KNOW that this will work... but would be surprised if it did not
