Hello there,

Below is a copy of my HJT log. The problem I have relates to a toolbar in IE7 that is proving difficult to remove.

Hope someone can shed some light. I have run Ad-aware with no results.

Sorry I could have been a bit clearer. I downloaded some DVD software to try get my player working on Vista and the program obviously had this toolbar hidden with the install. I now have a toolbar in IE called "myGLOBALsearch" and there does not appear to be a way of uninstalling it.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

O2 - BHO: My Global Search Bar BHO - {37B85A21-692B-4205-9CAD-2626E4993404} - C:\Program Files\MyGlobalSearch\bar\1.bin\MGSBAR.DLL

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Once you have restarted the machine you should be able to delete the folder:
C:\Program Files\MyGlobalSearch

Did the other thread help you with the anti-virus questions?

Sorry about the late response. Thanks for the help on the toolbar removal, it was successfull.

However the AVG AS was not so. The following error is displayed when trying to run "Application Error...The application failed to initiatize properly (0xc0000142). Click ok to terminate"
