Can anyone see if there is anything that might be causing my computer to freeze sometimes. I have used SPybot and Ad-aware and they found some spyware which I removed.

A good possibility could be this M$ patch:
[KB891711] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KB891711\KB891711.EXE

Go to Start, RUN
Type in msconfig
Go to the tab Startup
Uncheck this entry: [KB891711] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KB891711\KB891711.EXE
Click Apply, then OK
Reboot

There was a lot of mayhem with this particular patch.

Do you remember when you downloaded it?

When it first came out (around March of 2005) many users complained of problems with their systems.

So Microsoft released the patch again later on (in April of 2005) after doing some work with it.
