also, moms computer keeps having this problem with the svchost.exe. we have done the windows updates and everything. also, once the svchost.exe comes up, her computer will freeze and she will end up having this process called "sysconf.exe" that takes up so much memory and the CPU usage is at 100%..what can i do?

thanks :)

On the second one:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Video Process] sysconf.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Video Process] sysconf.exe
Added as a result of the GABOT.GEN!POLY virus. Follow the link for removal instructions.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Generic Service Process] regsvc32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Generic Service Process] regsvc32.exe
These specificly may be genuine, but I have seen some like this that they are a hompage highjacker that changes your homepage to an adult content site. If this is happening to you, then remove them.

This is omnious, but i need to check into this further:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0000CC75-ACF3-4cac-A0A9-DD3868E06852} - C:\Program Files\DAP\DAPBHO.dll

The first one looks clean.

If I can remember correctly, the virtual memory is a little space on the hard drive where it gets used if the main RAM is full. You can change the amount in the Control Panel, but right now I can't think of it cause I have a headache and I'm currently on a MAC.

You might want to clean your Temporary Internet Files folder out. Do this by going to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and then click on Disc Cleanup

If you haven't fixed these they definitely need to be fixed:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Generic Service Process] regsvc32.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Generic Service Process] regsvc32.exe

The regsvc32.exe file needs to be deleted.
