Hijack Log - Need Interpretation

723 Views 6 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  NiteHawk
I'm having difficutly with Explorer crashing on me whenever I run IE6. I have Win98 currently FWIW. I believe it's related to endless adware and spyware. I've already run Ad-aware and the latest version of Norton's in an effort to clean things up.

Can someone interpret this hijack log for me please. I see a few items in there that I know should not be (Clear search) for example.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Dan

To fix this item:

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'lsp.dll' missing

Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

Now download Spybot - Search & Destroy (if you haven't got the program installed already)

After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.

Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove/fix all it finds that are in RED

Reboot

Last, run HJT again and post your log again to see if anything was missed.

I'm getting the attached error message about once every 5 mins when I have two or more IE windows open. It dumps explorer and IE.
