All of a sudden my programs will work for a while and then stop responding, some do not respond from the start.Any help would be great.

Next time, make sure your thread is a little more detailed then the good old classic "Help!"

Pc Specs?

When did they start happening?

Do you have any idea why this would be happening?

When you say "stop responding", are you pressing Control + Alt + Delete and it's saying "Program not responding" Then you right click and end the task?

Does this only happen for games or all applications?

Hi there,
I first noticed it happening when my photo program stopped every time i tried to Browse images. I then tried a couple of other programs which stopped responding as well. windows explorer does it. I do as you said Control+alt+delete and end task. Internet explorer does not seem to be effected.
I have used system restore but it hasn't cured it.
I have run AVG internet security on a complete scan but when it gets to "scanning Registry"it stops responding as well, and so I cannot complete the scan.
