Help with HijackThis log

925 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  MFDnNC
I've been having a problem upload photos onto Snapfish. This had been working on the same PC running the same OS (XP Pro) and firewall (ZoneAlarmPro) for two years without any issues. All of a sudden it doesn't work. I've uninstalled the ActiveX control and re-installed. Contacted Snapfish Customer Serive who were little to no help. The upload to snapfish does work if I shutdown my firewall, but for obvious reasons I don't want to do this.

I downloaded HijackThis and this is the log ... but have no idea what to do next.

I should add that I've done a virus scan and pest scan (pest patrol)... both came back clean. I do a virus scan weekly.

Any help is appreciated...

Thanks!
Debbie

From your description you have mssysmgr.exe or some other snapfish component blocked in the firewall so you need to program control - programs and see where it is blocked

BTW add remove programs remove all occurences of Viewpoint
Thanks for your reply...

I checked ZoneAlarm an the snapfish component does have access. That hasn't changed lately.

what is mssysmgr.exe ? I don't see that file on my system.

I did remove all instances of ViewPoint Manager.

I'm still not able to upload to snapfish.

sorry, i did find the mssysmgr.exe -- C:\Program Files\Snapfish\Snapfish PhotoShow\data\Xtras\mssysmgr.exe -- so I granted access to this program specifically in ZoneAlarm but that didn't work.

Snapfish has both an Web Control that you can use to upload, and software. The software works, but I find it slow and cumbersome to use. I've always used their website which uses an ActiveX control. The control does have access granted in ZoneAlarm. And it is this that doesn't work.

Thanks!
Debbie
Well you will need to mess around in ZA as something is blocked in there - the log is fine
