Hi again! Thanks for your reply!
When i use CWShredder it stops at CWS.Smartsearch and shuts down. When I open it again it says my computer has a variant of the Coolwebsearch Trojan (CWS.Smartsearch.2) that has attempted to close CWShredder. It started again with a random string in the title bar but it still shuts off when it hits CWS.Smartsearch. I'm not too great with computers but I thought maybe I would try it in Safe Mode before anything starts up, but it didn't work anyway. :(

I got the service packs in the meantime...

Thanks again!!

hi!
when i was in safe mode i couldnt find wunk_32t.exe or cwphbki.exe. i deleted the autoupdate folder.. but when i was back in normal mode my adwatch informed me that autoupdate and many of the files i fixed on hijackthis were back and trying to run! im going to try again to find those files but when i did a search for them or when i manually looked in the system32 folder there were nowhere to be seen!
should i put the folder options back to the way they were before after this problem is fixed?

Here is the updated log, as you can see, everything returns after it's fixed:

i do block them! thats the most messed up part of it all! the thing is everything is fine and when i turn on adwatch they all wake up. how can these files be invisible but at the same time be plaguing the computer? i have used the search feature, ive gone manually through the computer... but still nothing! :(

***update***
i just found a file named w32tm.exe its the closest to wunk32t.exe that i can find...
